FLAVAN is an approved provider of continuing education by the Florida Board of Nursing, provider #50-10674. Membership dues include CE credit for in-person and virtual educational events unless otherwise specified. For the membership fee, non-members may attend in-person events and will become members based on membership guidelines."

Our hosted educational events are generously sponsored by our industry vendor partners. Our local meetings generally rotate between Jacksonville and Orlando and their surrounding areas. 

Educational events feature expert speakers in the field of vascular access or infusion therapy and are open to anyone interested in these topics. Meeting attendees will enjoy benefits such as expert presentations, continuing education, local networking and on occasion a light dinner. 

Due to the professional nature of all FLAVAN events, spouses or children are not permitted unless prior arrangements have been made through FLAVAN. Thank you for your understanding.

    Drainage at the Exit Site: Is it Lymph?


    Objectives:

    -Review of the lymphatic system.

    -Review of the upper arm lymph node/vessel anatomy and the potential for variance in their location(s).

    -Describe how to identify potential lymph fluid drainage from a vascular access device exit site.

    -Discuss treatment options related to continuous lymph drainage from an exit site.

    -Discuss the importance of identifying these structures with real time ultrasound visualization prior to the insertion of a vascular access device.
